My fiancé (Filipina) is in Manilla and I live in Scotland, we are hoping to bring her here to UK next year, we've already holidayed together in Phil, Malaysia, Bali, Singapore.

We are going to Dubai for 3 weeks at Christmas. I can get her a visit visa online no problem but its always the Philippines immigration that is a difficulty.

Is it easy enough for them to get out the country to Dubai for a holiday? I've booked her on Emirates, we will have hotel/air bnb booking whilst there.

Has anyone else got experience of Dubai for holidays?

My wife and I both live in UAE. Weather will be good then, I suggest going to a brunch on Xmas day, you should definitely book in advance.

You imply that she has had problems leaving in the past and needs to address that if that is the case

Aware that Philippines immigration can be a problem if not properly prepared but experience has been that no issues when leaving when wife has only Philippines citizenship although was always prepared for potential issues. Our experience which think is the same as most is that don't have problems leaving but aware of the stories if offloading.

If I remember correctly Dubai, Singapore and Hong Kong are all trafficking destinations so potential for greater scrutiny but if have history of visiting and returning then would not expect issues.

I don’t think Philippines passport holder have problem travelling to Dubai. If there’s booking in advance for their accommodation to stay, that’s all they will ask for with Filipino. Enjoy your stay! Dubai is a good holiday place to go.

Thanks for all the info, Ive came up with a better plan though. Why waste 4k on a holiday to Dubai for 3 weeks when I can start the Finance Visa application sooner for her to come to the UK

Why not do the fiancee visa and when you get the positive result arrange a 10 day break in an asian country ie Thailand ( Filipinos don't need a visa) she flies there from Philippines you fly and meet her in asian country and after holiday you both fly to UK together, you are on hand at UK border control to help her.
