It doesn't sound like a life plan more like an investment in bonds or stocks or gilts (T-bonds) but I couldn't quite figure out what exactly they were offering.

I might look at something like that for my kids eventually.

No fees, I paid 1 million only. I asked the lady if their was a penalty for withdrawal. I invested this for an emergency and told her that if I may need it for a quick withdrawal in case of hospital .
Better than sitting in a UK bank doing nothing.

Won another £25 today after a £50 win in January, 2% interest rate based on my current holding but most of that holding was built starting last June current got £6000 in bonds after this win, I reckon at this rate I'm getting just under 4% return per annum.

My recent prize history, really chuffed this year £225 in the last three months £400 this year.

I get disappointed if I don't get a prize each month now :)

This is on a total of just under £7000 in bonds now, about 6.2% return this year on the actual cash I invested discounting the £400 I've that I've won.

Just checking my prize history - interesting to note, similar to you, I won nothing from November 2023 to Jan 2024... £50 in Feb and then picked up again in June... £200 in Aug 2024 my best month since my previous purple patch.

I've opened a direct saver account with them now

I'm sure there's better rates elsewhere but they didn't ask any questions when I opened it about UK residence etc... maybe later - safe with immediate access was my main concern.

    Won another £50 today!

    That's after the £125 last month :)

7.2% return this year so far Jan to Nov.

edit: Sh*t  I didn't read it properly, £50 was the first prize of two again this month, the second one was £100 :D

That's £550 this year to date, 8.6% return this year so far.

My Chase account gives me about 3.75% on savings but it pays the interest every month and that's becoming a problem for me before April 6th as I'm currently at £973 interest paid in this tax year.

I must admit I've thought about opening an NS&I savings account as well, I just opened another Nationwide savings account after my last one matured, the old one was 8% per annum and the new one is 6.5% per annum but there is a limit of 200 quid on the amount you can save to increase your balance each month which effectivley reduces the return quite a bit.

How much is your holding if you don't mind me asking?

Approx, I don't want to be nosey.

Oh I knew that returns were and are related to the size of holding that's the only reason I'm winning regularly now.

I went back a few days ago and analysed my own wins and yeah it has tended to be more from the larger blocks even for my small holding, I had been going to post about that as that was part of your theory of winning and I'm more likely to agree with that today.

I do feel that I have won disproportionately this year though, there are people with much large holdings who almost never win anything, so I've been pretty lucky.

How'd you do this month John?

Me, I can't believe this run I've had, yet another 2 wins today of £100 each, thats a total of £750 in the last 367 days, with 2 wins each month since October with the only exception being December.

    All wins get reinvested.

Very good - reminds me of my previous purple patch!

Interestingly, after upping my investment to the max in Nov... I was expecting greater things for 2025

    Sadly only a paltry £75 - so far :D

It's a win, it's effectivley interest and it's the UK Government paying that interest so it's good! ;)
