Hi everyone, I'm looking for some help/advice from others who have gone through the UK Spouse visa application. My wife and I got married in February in Philippines, and i have recently returned to the UK for work as i understand i need to obtain 6 months of payslips as part of the the financial requirements for the visa. However, i have just realised that because i am currently self-employed, it states that the my most recent tax-return would be accepted as the financial requirement as opposed to 6 months of payslips, if this is the case then we could save months waiting for pay slips when I could obtain my most recent tax-return in April this year. So, my question is to anyone else who is self-employed and has provided their tax return as evidence of financial requirements to confirm if this will be accepted for a successful application?
Being self employed makes the visa process a little more complicated, @Maharg was our latest successful applicant, I'm sure he will point you in the right direction. If you are fortunate enough to have £62,500 in the bank which has been held in a immediately accessible account for six months then you can apply for the visa without worrying about submitting too many financial details.
You could try crowd fund, lets hope you would be more successful than the chap in the article below; http://www.telegraph.co.uk/expat/ex...to-crowd-fund-his-Filipino-wifes-UK-visa.html
You need at least one whole financial year of accounts.Get them done by an accountant and get an accountant letter. Also you need a copy of your tax return. One whole financial year of business bank statements. Invoices/spreadsheets etc also recommended. The kitchen sink, basically. We failed first time and one reason was not providing enough proof of self employed earnings.
