i think most opinion is 28 days, but always play safe. I personally sent bank statements AND wage slips to my wife ten days before our visa app... and dont forget your wage slips and bank statements must correlate.

bank statements / wage slips etc must be dated within 28 days of the online visa application.

If you are relying on cash savings alone (Category D) then you need £62,500 which has been held in a immediately accessible account for at least six months prior to the visa application. Note you cannot use a combination of cash savings and money from self employment to meet the financial requirement.

if you intend to rely on savings---there is a set requirement you need to meet---its 2.5 times the annual income threshold plus a base of £16, 000.00.

    so--its £18,600 x 2.5 +£16,000.00= £62,500.00

this amount must be in an instant access a/c for 6 months before you apply.

there are different rules for self employed--and its nothing to do with the philippines--its all to do with the UKVI.

    hi everyone .
bit confused on which category fits my application . I'm applying for spouse visa and will be using the combination of my husband's salaried income and cash savings. My husband is in non-salaried employment He is paid weekly in cash and receives payslips showing this net income, together with the gross amount and the correct deductions for tax and National Insurance. . But the amount he is paid varies from the total hours per week so he received different amount per month in total. And by the way he received paid holidays.

Category D-cash saving combined in which category ?
    Is it Category A non-salaried employment or part 1 of Category B non-salaried employment . ?

    thanks .
