    Hi all,

My wife's first FLR(M) and the NHS surcharge is all paid for now. Just in the process of finalizing the documents for submission.

The inevitable "last minute worries" are setting in...

Can I just check what documentation evidence is required, to prove "a genuine and subsisting relationship"?

    We have:
    • 12 pages of photos of us together in various places across Philippines and UK (including our wedding)
These also include photos of me with her family, and her with my family.
    • Marriage certificate
    • Letters of correspondence from organizations to my wife and I, in joint names.
    • A bank statement of an account in both of our names.
Is it necessary to include "the kitchen sink" like we did with the fiance visa - such as submitting birthday cards, Christmas cards, Facebook transcriptions, letters of support from my friends and family, etc?

    Thank you!

no need for photos! letters in joint names are good the guidelines say you should try and provide upto 6 in joint names but do not worry if you cannot as she has been in the UK a short time and UKBA understand that,if you havent got 6 and have some just in her name and some in your name put them in aswell,no need to go overboard!
    Marriage certificate essential
    Bank statement good
no need for birthday cards or messages from friends etc.

Youve done the hardest part in obtaining the fiancee visa thus showing a genuine relationship! At the end of the application you will get a system generated checklist of what to provide

Your 'bullet points' pretty much cover what is required for the 1st FLR(M), @thingymejig2 - with regard to proving your "genuine and subsisting relationship".

I feel like giving up altogether and trying live there with her...it isn't enough for paying a visa. But be fact may have use a lawyer aswell as there's no real step by step guide to the visa . It's annoying. And another money making scheme...I feel stressed and haven't done much of it already ....

have you shared the email and password so your fiancee can open it and read what your filling in ?

a lot of it is personal stuff--names addresses passport details--whether youve been married before etc.

then the 3 main things to deal with are--

sponsors financial details to meet the requirement
    the accommodation details
then evidence of a genuine and ongoing relationship.

if i were you i would fill in all the application form. remember you can go back to it--change it if needed--even scrap it and start again--i did--3 times !

but make sure you are BOTH happy with it before you finalise and submit it.

Yeh mate thanks for that...we have filled in her personal info. On the first part ..I printed of the appendix 2 form today which I will fill out this week ..yeh I set us an email account up so we can both access things
Main concerns for me is dates and timing really.,I feel im worrying when I don't need to ..main Concern is when do we submit things etc...as her biometrics and stuff she does gets sent with all the docs I submit to Sheffield? I go phillipines on may 13 to may 31...im hoping get as much done by then and maybe send everything of middle June ..begin July...also...when's best time to get the council do inspection as I feel it's to early yet to do it?

how about you gather as much information as you can now and fill in as many forms as soon as you can prior to you leaving for the Philippines
Arrange prior to going to the Philippines for your GF to take her TB test a day or so after you arrive and the following day submit her biometrics by appointment (you can escort her and help/learn) after submission of biometrics review the information you have got and complete anything outstanding and enjoy the holiday.
Prior t leaving for your holiday arrange for the council to come around for the inspection so you have the report prior to going.

On your return within 5 days post your pack off

Sit back and await a positive response on the application

Personally I would wait till I was over there double double check it together and then send it off, do tb screening biometrics next day post all on your return
Get your tb and biometrics appointments sorted now for when you arrive.

But how long do the tb and biometrics last? Someone told me no docs can be older than 28 days old before you submit?

    Tb 6 months
Biometrics 21 days or 28 can't remember what it is from over there, that's why I suggested in an earlier post to you that you post your docs within 5 days of returning to UK that way ar worst it will be only about 15 days from biometrics to posting( margin for error)

Yeh that's true am I right in thinking we have to set a date for tb and biometrics through the v4f site on both of them or can she do the tb now?

Can do tb now ( I suggested doing them the day after each other(tb first to save travel time and costs)
