My wife and daughter arrived last December, when my wife arrived she had problems opening a bank account. She didn't have any cohabitation proof from December when they arrived till April. Will there be a problem?
Have you shopped around different banks to see if they will give her a basic account? My wife eventually got a bog standard account with Visa debit card with Nationwide. They were happy with the BRP and council tax bill in joint names. A few others including HSBC (which is who I bank with) and NatWest were asking for several other proofs of address which we did not have at the time. A work colleague of mine who is Sri Lankan opened a basic account with the Co-Op as they also were not too zealous with requiring umpteen items of paperwork.
My wife got a basic Nationwide account. No overdraft or cheque book facilities, just basic and a savings account basic
She has one now but I was wondering if there will be a problem cause she has a 4 month gap without a cohabitation proof from December 2018 when she arrived to April 2019

It shouldn’t be a problem, just start the proof of your correspondence from when she started getting one then spread it out evenly from there.
