    We will fly to Manila this coming Friday, my Mrs will be 23 weeks pregnant by that day. No problem as its under six months so no certificate from a doc required.
    However, coming back she will be 25 weeks pregnant. PAL's website states that a cert is required if the pregnancy is between 24 and 32 weeks.
    However the relevant form states that a cert is required if the pregnancy is 6 to 8 months.
    Here's the problem, PAL seem to count pregnancy as lasting only 36 weeks (9x4).
    Counting back from the due date my Mrs will only be 21 weeks pregnant for the return journey.
    The point at which a cert is required by many other airlines is 27 weeks.
    Logically 6 months would be half a year or 26 weeks.
    The issue is trying to find a doc in the middle of nowhere! The cert can only be dated a maximum of 7 days before the flight.

    Has anyone got experience of flying while pregnant...the lady only haha.
    More specifically any info on PALs rules would be really appreciated please.

    Although it doesn't help as such. Asawa flew back at 34 weeks (as I recollect) but seems Cathay are a bit more forgiving if the pregnancy is uncomplicated;

    We will accept passengers with:

    • uncomplicated single pregnancies up to 36 weeks (i.e. 35 weeks + 6 days)
    • uncomplicated multiple pregnancies up to 32 weeks (i.e. 31 weeks + 6 days).
