Does anyone know where I can get a reasonable safe at a reasonable price out here? Something big enough to hold valuables and paperwork. There seems to be a few cash box type things but I've not really seen anything that cant just be picked up and ran off with.

Try Ace Hardware which stocks a range of safes of varying sizes. The larger ones are designed to be bolted to the floor.

I second the idea of Ace Hardware, they have some fairly big safes, but they are certainly not cheap.

Bolting to the floor would be the best idea but if they were really after your stuff they would just bring some of the larger stronger Filipino's or just more bodies if it looked worth their while.

I've never bothered for both the above reason and for the one you mentioned Stu the pointlessness of a movable cash box.

They are in just about every SM Mall Stu, good store and good quality products, bought most of my tools from them over the years although I guess I could have sourced some cheaper tools of the same quality from smaller family businesses, Ace are like a lot of the mall stores; convenient :)
