A lot of the people I see getting into trouble like this in the Philippines are the string vest or shirtless variety like this guy.

Lolas family have a beachresort, big place, hotel and cottages on it.They have security, the staff have homes in the beach, the whole place is surrounded by a fence. All the workers have been told stay inside,we are on lock-down,easy advice to follow, they aren't starving and they are safe inside.Yesterday one of the single female workers got over the fence somehow and went to see some of her friends for a chat  unfortunately for her she was spotted. Not allowed back inside the beach and has lost her job,the security guards handed her belongings back to her at the front gate, she isn't a happy bunny.

Yes, I surmised he had been drinking.

I hope he avoids any penalty but he really teed himself up for trouble, didn’t he.

I now know that Dasmarinas Village is in Makati and not in Dasmarinas but assumed it was when she alerted me. But my wife knew about the village as some of the Remullas live there.

I guess he will find himself living in a very different gated community soon that he is used to.

What a prat that foreigner is.
Resorting to shouting and swearing at the officer.
He didn't even listen to the Filipina who was trying to calm the situation down.

You see people like that in every pub and outside every pub in the UK and they show the same level of respect for police officers here as this guy did over there.

Using the 'you are in Dasmarinas' defence with the implication that he is rich so this officer should respect him and treat him as special is pretty dumb anywhere in the world.

True, keep under the radar and never insult a Filipino. On expats forum based in the Philippines be careful what you post.

If it was not law to have to wear a mask on one's own property why the cop did escalate the verbal confrontation by assaulting the guy??
Far from me to mention the obvious, but the guy must have been fresh out of brown envelopes..?

Well, yeah.. I concur, really. In a different country, one does have to follow the rules, wether they may seem wrong or otherwise.

The Spanish guy was on the street, at least this is what I saw. The law stands then and now, one must wear a face mask in public.
