not sure what filipino delicacy this is...no label on jar or lid. i bet the contents used to crawl around for a living before they got caught and cooked.

Mrs Ash has a tendency to leave stuff hanging around in the fridge. It’s a battle being constantly waged. I find myself having to have a clearout quite regularly. Is it a Filipina thing in general? She is much more blasé about that than I am. Having said that it doesn’t normally get as bad as in your pic @bigmac :D

We have little to nothing that hangs around in the fridge in the Philippines, me in the UK yeah I am bad for that, I have a clear out every 8 months or so but that does not stop me discovering some ancient horror stories every now and then :D

It might be a Filipina thing here in the UK but I think few would be able to afford or would tolerate that in the Philippines.

My family don't waste food in the Philippines but I can't say the same about me here in the UK, I can be wasteful due to laziness about batch cooking.

My Mrs does regular fridge clearing, making sure "her" gunk stays to fester for another week...
