I personally take offense to that ill thought and delivered comment. It shows for the bigot you really are.

So why doesn't the Philippines Government extend the same rights to the dirty old white english men that get ripped off by all and sundry by retiring in a warmer climate.

Kano prices and pinoy prices come to mind.

You really painting yourself into a tight corner, chuck....

I also take grave exception to that remark. You don't know me nor why and how I happen to be in the Philippines. For all you know I could own and operate a large call centre employing hundreds of Filipinos. So kindly keep your bigoted and racist remarks to yourself.

Recruitment of health service workers all but stopped since 2004. It is extremely difficult for a hospital trust to get work permits for non-EU citizens such as Filipinos and only a handful have been granted since.

The fact that you pay taxes does not of itself give you the right to live there. I pay taxes here in the Philippines but I don't claim any such right.

Now I suggest you go off and join this other British/Filipino Forum where you'll find people with the same bigoted and racist views as yourself. As far as I am concerned, your views are not welcome here.

Surely he's a plant. I can't believe that such a comment would be madeby someone from a so-called reputable organisation

I did think about trolls and flames but he seems to very misguided and lost in a quagmire of religious fervor of which he is trying to make some sense.

I find his comments regarding May-September marriages between Filipinas and foreigners somewhat distasteful and hypocritical given the widespread trafficking of young Filipinos by their families into the Philippine sex trade, the rise in teenage pregnancies and not forgetting 60 year old Freddie Aguilar's rapid conversion to Islam so that he could marry his 16 year old girlfriend and avoid prosecution for underage sex.

I don't think that you will be making any converts here.

Typical of converts to Islam, who find it difficult to know whom to turn to or when to stop. This person is clearly frothing at the mouth with misplaced religious zeal, and may very well constitute a danger to the public - terrorists are recruited from just such people.

I would respectfully urge Kuya to report the IP address that this individual is posting from to the appropriate authorities.

Interesting analogy. But I'm afraid sir you have nothing to fear from the likes of me. Except the truth...

Lol :) but seriously I'm not here to offend. And I would advise any one who is not here to discuss religion to maybe leave this particular forum. As it will obviously get heated but I do hope we are all able to keep a clear mind and rebuttal with clarity.

You sure about that, effectively calling everyone on here "dirty old men" was not about to win you any friends.

It takes two to tango, almost everyone on here has close ties to the Philippines, we have friends there many of us have children there as well as partners that are waiting to come to the UK, I have no idea of the exact numbers of foreigner-Filipino relationships in the world but pretty much all of them contribute very significant amounts to the Philippine economy, and those relationships required willing partners on both sides.

Personally I have no interest in Islam, I was brought up in the Catholic faith and my kids are being brought up that way too even though I no longer follow that faith. Having a grounding in a faith is no bad thing and children should not be force fed a harsh atheistic viewpoint a faith provides an introduction to morality that provides a foundation for the adult mind however neither should a young adult be force fed a fiction, they should be free to think for themselves and use their own powers of reason to come to their own conclusions about life the universe and everything.

What little I know about Islam, from visiting a Mosque open day in Scotland some years ago, was that it struck me as being remarkably similar to the Catholic faith, but as I said I have no real interest in any religion and am therefore unlikely to bother to learn any more than I know now about Islam.

Finally the point of this "sub-forum" is discussion of Politics, Religion and Ethics, it is not a discussion area restricted to religion and it is certainly not restricted to one faith, there has been plenty of discussion on the Catholic faith here, so why should anyone leave?

And by the way my eldest daughter teaches Religion, that does not mean she teaches any one faith, she teaches an understanding of the entire subject.

I was quite enjoying reading through this thread with it to-ing and fro-ing but this comment actually got me angry. Everyone is guilty of making broad sweeping statements at one time or another but you have over stepped the line with this one you numpty. I'm sure the vast majority on here love their wives dearly and I take great offence that you assume white english men go to the Philippines to find themselves a sex partner as a wife!! Sure some do go there (from many different countries and different races) to find sex partners as they do in Thailand but why do they go there and not other countries? Is it because its always been available. Anyway thats off topic. I suggest you apologise to the memebers of this forum for your narrow minded views on british-filipina relationships.

On the religion side of this I'm keeping out it (as any discussion generally spirals out of control as they often do with politics as well) apart from saying everyone is entitled to their own beliefs as long as they are fair and moderate, I do take offence to extremists and those who actively recruit or spread hatered though.

You forgot about me! Filipino married to a British man! :D

    Ohhh this is low, kababayan.

I must admit this happens here in the Philippines but it also happens in other countries. It even happens in the UK! I'd see young, sexy white girls with old Middle Eastern men shopping in Harrods.

And please, there are also a lot of Filipinos and other nationalities that once given their British citizenship, they would petition the whole clan to the UK to have a better life. Yes, it includes those family members who would not work and also benefit from the tax payer's money.

The members of this forum are good people and I have not encountered anyone who are even remotely similar to what you have just described.

    Mahiya ka naman.

The reason I ticked the like box on Kuyas post 27 was because it was a well balanced and fair posting. Now i know that might not be the case for 100% of the other postings in this thread but I came to the conclusion that you might not be the best ambassador for your religion. Why stoop to some of the remarks you have made? To be honest I started off with an open mind on your early posts but things have gone down hill since. And I am mystified as to why you are reticent to state where in the Philippines you are from. Why hide that?

Like Oss's circumstance, my wife is a Filipina and a devout Catholic. My daughter is half Filipino and my in laws are Filipino, hence my presence on this forum. I am a virtual atheist. And as a non creationist I am curious as to where or when in the eyes of the Islamist movement they see the globe we live on being created? And on its changes through the passage of time. Any ideas?

Looks like we have the only "Filipino" on the entire planet who won't say where he, she or whatever is from. Is this person Filipino at all? Or maybe its a dirty old white man trolling? Or a dirty old Pakistani?
