Been with my gf for 3 years now and visited her 4 times, now would like her to come to UK. I meet all the criteria, unfortunately i think she might fall short. She works in a salon and says she can get a letter allowing her leave to come here, but she dont own any property or business, she has kids but they don't live with her, so im a bit concerned she dont have enough proof that she will return, oh and shes also married. I will be her sponsor for whole stay, but due to complicated nature of getting visa i was looking at getting solicitors to deal with it. Has anyone on here used solicitors before to get any kind of visa

    Hi Lester and welcome.
I would try the application yourselves, all solicitors do is have you running around gathering the detail for your application and pass an opinion and charge You!
You already know what your strong points are and also the weak areas for yourselves.
Give some thought on how you are going to explain and convince that your GF isn't running away from a broken marriage in UKBA eyes
It's worth a punt Good Luck

She's been split with her husband for nearly 4 years now and he lives in Mindanao, where she's been living and working in Manila for last 2 years, so if all she wanted to do was run away from him, well she's already done it. Just want her to come here and experience UK before we decide what happens next, been in touch with 3 solicitors and been quoted anywhere from £500 to £1000 does seem rather expensive for a £95 visa

Just playing devils advocate for you.look at all the reasons why they might refuse you and try to cover them.
UKBA are looking for potential overstayers you have to put an application together that will convince them your GF will return home
Solicitor fees are expensive many have a first stab themselves and see what UKBA say, if they refuse 1st one you will get reasons for refusal and you can tackle those reasons for the next one.
Has she got any travel history in her passport?

Right now she don't even have a passport lol I've just read I need to send her an invitation letter and all proof that I will be her sponsor and paying for whole trip and her stay while she's here, but all documents need to be originals and not photo copies, does that mean I will have to send her via courier service all these documents??
