    I learnt with sadness about this legendary striker, for Bayern Munich, passing away today.
    I lived in Germany in the early 70ies, and had the pleasure to admire his skills on the field.
    I remember having a t-shirt signed by him at one of the Oktoberfests, and for the love of me, I cannot remember what happened to it..

    He will remain, in my eyes, the best footballer, Germany ever produced.

    I remember this guy well. Der Bomber. He did some damage against England.
