    WOW!!!!!!

    1st quarter of 2016 was 0.2 growth, nothing to see here move along :)

    Previous quarter 0.8% growth. Predicted growth 0.4%.

    It's important because the Government needs tax revenues to rise at a greater rate to tackle the deficit. Higher taxes to come?

    I think higher taxes are on the cards regardless, I don't mind higher taxes as long as I can see improvements in public services, various taxes will probably rise in the next couple of years depending on how the economy performs as we exit the EU.

    I agree, higher taxes for better public services is a price worth paying. It's an important issue for me and one that prohibits me from voting for the nice party.
