Kumusta sa inyong lahat! I stumbled across the forum whilst researching my heritage. I was born in Hong Kong, but raised in the UK (Dorset). I now live in London. My father never let my mum or my cousins speak to me in Filipino or in the Ilocano dialect which makes me very sad but I am actively learning both now. I am hoping to meet new people who can help me with both. I know more people can speak Filipino but I really want to keep my Ilocano heritage alive too and be able to speak with my family idiay adda ti la union. Ilocotaglish all the way. I look forward to speaking with you all Nat
hello Nat--welcome to the site. i'm English--living here--my fiancee is filipina and still over there. she speaks fluent ilocano.
Hi Nat and welcome to the forum. Interesting that your father wanted it that way. My daughter is half (Brit-Fil) and just under a year old but I am actively encouraging her momma to learn her Cebuano at minimum, maybe Tagalog too. Hope you find what you need.
