If you go to church, there could be Filipinas there. Sometimes Filipinas can be found working as nurses in hospital. As soon as you find one friend, I am sure she will know many more.
If there's a market in town, lot's of Filipino's go there. Lot's of good cheap vegetable's to be had.

Hello how are you? Your boyfriend is too far from us, were in Newhaven when do you plan to apply visa? Coz i used agency before when i applied my visa.. For sure, one day you can come here as well, just be patient, life is okay here, cold. Hehehehe you will enjoy here for sure

Hi Marbe. Welcome to the UK. Just came across this group/forum so joined straight away. I know Newhaven well. I used to live in Eastbourne - 35 years. Now living in Manchester. Unfortunately not an area of the country, at least not as far as I know, with a Filipino community, unlike South Wales and London. Shame really but can't win 'em all.
