hello everyone!!! am new in this site! i came across this site as i am searching for info and ways on how to apply for spouse visa and learn from others experiences and knowledge. I am married to a british guy for four years already. Why only now for visa? At first i did not want to jump to getting visasoon after we got married just to prove my worth as a filipina who is honest and true to my hubby not for the sake of going abroad and money and second, i do not want to leave my family. (never in my wildest dream that i will meet and marry a man from overseas )while having that, i did not realize my hubby starts to get OD bec of his travel to see me here in the Philippines so it took us that FOUR YEARS to apply for the visa now. I am joining this site to LEARN and TO GAIN. hopefully i will come across to nice people who will patiently help me in sorting out my papers, it feels like am presenting a THESIS in college doing them and its making me really nervous and so worried
hi missusmakulit to our friendly forum! ask away your concerns there are lots of knowledgeable chaps and gals here to help you on your visa preparations
Welcome to the forum missusmakulit From my understanding, the main thing about applying for a spouse visa is the evidence of the relationship (and I assume you have that covered after 4 years) and financial records to prove your husband can afford to support you. The second one might be tricky at first if he is always overdrawn due to flying out often, but the Government only need to see 6 months of bank statements so he could spend some time saving and making sure he has enough to satisfy the visa conditions. Look forward to hearing more from you....
Hi there missusmakulit, a warm welcome here to the forum. I like your user name Are you really makulit ? The immigration rules are always changing, they will most likely change again April 2012, so if you're thinking to come to UK then it would be a wise move to make the plan before that time. Just reviewing the application form, the guidance notes and the key requirements will usually raise plenty of questions. Don't be shy to ask anything. The important thing is to understand exactly what is needed to comply with the requirements. You don't need to present a thesis of 2kg.
WOW!!i feel so WELCOMED in here :vhappy: thank you all for such a warm welcome even ONLINE i can feel it ...MAKULIT? am actually not ..SERIOUSLY i could not think of a better CATCHY name to use on this site but not really my personality. I ASK QUESTIONS AND BECOME MAKULIT only when i dont get satisfied and when my BRAIN is not switch on i cant help but compare the visa preparation like doing a thesis in college, i actually love it, problem is when its too much it gets frustrating
