I am new her but this sort of forum is not new to me as I am also a member at British Expat. I have been married for 17 years, work and lived abroad meaning outside UK and Philippines. When I first got my spouse visa we were already married for quite a long time 14 years. I got my spouse visa, then my Indefinte Leave to Remain and now on going process with my Citizenship. No problem applying for Spouse visa as long as they can see that your partner savings can maintain you for at least 6 months when you plan to go and settle in UK. Got my Indefinite Leave to Remain last year and was surprised when I passed all my documents and the immigration staff told me my application was approved just come back after 2 hours. I was really surprised as I happened to know most of my friends has to come back and even got denied couple of times. My secret was, I organised all my proof of address and all evidence in a folder and let the immigration staff look into it which one she prepares to submit and presented my ESOL with Citizenship that comes from the college I studied from while doing Business course. But of course applying for Indefinite Leave to Remain your partner has to be with you as they need to see his original passport and his presence when you applied personally, if by post you have to make sure you supplied them with all the necessary documents they required as if they are not satisfied with all the requirements you submitted your application can be denied and no refunds! What I did was, I applied personally, although it cost more but its worth it as you are sure to know that your papers are approved without holding your breath when it will arrived!

Thanks a lot guys! This is just like the qatarliving forum when we used to live there we have this forum for people who has questions, only difference, there are useless members who only waste others time! But here it's mainly advice the same thing as British expat do!

I wonder what's in dirty kitchen! I cannot access it! What is it I have to do to get in to that thread! Maybe they haven't clean up their dirty kitchen that's why there's no visitors allowed!
