Hi again to Euro Pinoy Tony, I already gave you the information on another forum and like some of the members there I will reiterate here that going to meet the girl is the first priority regardless of your shared Mormonism an online relationship is still only virtual there are lots of Mormons and active prosalitision from the States so im sure you can connect with like minds. The EEA route is open to you as an Italien and free so get over there and confirm what you say you already know to be true

That will prove to the Embassy staff issuing the visa, that you actually met, know each other and it is not a marriage of convenience or a scam. It will also prove to you or your girlfriend, if it is the right choice you both are making, to spend your whole life together. There is no hurry really, if she loves you, she will wait and be there for you. One of the most important things to remember is that you have to be very careful, and don't send any money, regardless of how distressing the story you have been fed is... After you meet in person, and decide she is the one for you, then, if you want to give some financial help from time to time, then it will be your choice entirely. Warnings over ... The interesting part now..... The fact that you are a citizen of the EU living and working in a member state, entitles you by treaty rights to have all Visas, Family permits and Residence Cards, free of charge. This comes under the Family Reunion rules. The difference is that it is your "right" and not a privilege in this case.... So the chances of having the Family permit refused are very small indeed, unless the documents provided are not in order. But you have to understand that you both have to meet in person.... You will need as proof, all the Boarding card stubs, hotel receipts, photos of the both of you together, with her family, proof of contact, copies of emails, and so on. My wife has now been here in the UK for slightly over three years. So I think I know what I am talking about. Keithangel is undergoing the same process, with a different angle, but with the same end results. It seems difficult, if you look at the different links to UKBA website, but in reality is really easy, if you just follow the important bits, observe the rules and listen to experienced people. Hi everybody and thanks a lot for your welcome, I am so glad and thankfull for your suggests and I decided to go to Philippines for 3 weeks, today my manager after a log debate told me yes ok you can booking your flight, then I'll go there and we will meet each other I will know her family 12 brothers and sisters, nephews, niece, cousins and we will get an engaged party. Does my wife need an English Test? I just got married with my Filipina wife lately in the Philippines. Now, I'm back in London and I am preparing for the visa application of my wife. I get cofused with the link I read about the requirement of applicants taking an English Test. It says there that an applicant will need to meet the requirement if they are: a national of a country outside EEA and an applicant applying as a wife of a person settled in UK. But it says also that the new english requirement does not apply to the applicants like: the spouse of an EEA national. Can anyone help me explain about this? Thank you!

Tonino................................ Your wife doesn't need to have a test. It is not necessary for the wife of an EEA national.
