hi hope you all guys are well . I just would like to ask about our situation . We are applying for FLR M in September and we are already filling up the online form . We have encountered a problem about the financial requirement , we always have thought that we will only need 6 months payslip and 6 months corresponding bank statements . But we have been ask to provide 12 for both of them . The problem is that, if we are going to provide 12 bank statements, they will be able to see the cash gift that my wife's mom has given to us . Is cash gift a valid form of meeting the financial requirement ?? Cash gift has been in the account for 12 months prior to application.
cash gift is ok--but include an explanation where it came from. remember the first £16,000 is not counted.
Hi bigmac, yeah the gift of cash is on top of the £16,000 minimum as a cash savings . We actually dont want to include anymore the bank statement where the gift of cash is being shown . We are still providing 12 payslips but only 11 corresponding bank statements because my visa will already expire if we wait for the 12th bank statement .
And if im going to include the older bank statement just to make it 12 , then the sum of money given to us by my wifes mum will be shown in the statement . Do you think 12 payslips and 11 corresponding bank statements will be alright ? And write a letter why we were not able to provide the 12th bank statement .
do you meet the earnings requirement of £18,600 for your wifes visa--with no children ? if you do--then you dont need any savings. if ukvi want 12 payslips--then you will need 12 bank statements showing your salary or wages paid in. if your not using savings to support sponsorship then ukvi will have no interest in them.
Hmmm perhaps they've already given an explanation (on this application or somewhere else) of where "their" cash savings came from... and it didn't mention the cash gift (or was it a loan?) from the wife's mom...
No . My wife is my sponsor and she doesn't meet the financial requirement using her salary alone , thats why we have to combine it with her cash savings . 12 months ago her mom gave us money to help us with the visa . Do we need to declare this ? As it will appear in her bank statements .
yes--a cash gift is ok..but not a loan. just write to explain the source of the cash. i sold my house to release substantial equity for sponsoring my fiancee. i had to keep it in an instant access a/c for 6 months before she could apply. meanwhile i rented a flat.
Yes we are aware of that . Before we didint want to do it as we dont want to complicate things, but i think just to be safe we have to include my earnings now . I earn more than the minimum income requirement, just needs to provide a lot of payslips as i am being paid weekly .
What kind if documentation do we need to provide just to prove them that the cash gift is legit ? Is the letter from her mum and bank statement would do ?
well--just a letter from yourself stating the source of the gift. is it still in the a/c now after 12 months ? a letter confirming the gift from mum wouldnt hurt.
if it helps.....say what your wifes gross earnings are--and i can tell you the amount of savings you need. PM me if you prefer.
I am going through the flr now got our appointment next tuesday in manchester . if your wife is the sponsor she only has to submit 6 months pay slips and bank statements but you have to provide 12 months bank statements and pay slips like my wife has too.
I will try to upload the check list of the things they require at the weekend that we printed out when we made our booking.
Yes the money is still in the account . We have been saving it for my visa extension . That was the main purpose of it . Will ask her mum for a letter ..
We always have thought that my wife will only need 6 months payslips and bank statements , but when we were filling up the form online , and ticked one of the choices about my wife’s salary she has been asked to provide 12 months of each . I think it depends on the personal circumstance wether if u have to provide 6 or 12 months paperwork . My wife works only part time and earns less than 18600 thats we have to combine it with her cash savings .
