    Greetings! =)

I am currently under tier 4 student visa. I have just finished my 6 month overseas nursing programme for nurses. Just recently, I have received a job offer as a staff nurse(medicine ward) from a hospital. The hospital is processing their certificate of sponsorhip at the moment and they will be receiving it by the end of this month. My current visa is expiring some time next month, is there a way to be able to convert my visa from within UK?

I'm not sure if I need/can afford a solicitor but anyway does anybody know a good solicitor/agency here in London specializing on immigration matters.

    Thank you...

Due to the unprecedented amount of bogus job offers leading to scams, I would suggest you post the offer for us to check it it genuine.

This is with your safety and security in mind.

    Welcome aboard.....

Hmm the authenticity of my job offer isn't really in question.. It is a reputable institution and I'm here in UK. I met the employers in person... but thank you anyway....

I was worried about the offer of such a high position to a student, thats all.

It seemed strange and out of place.

    Hi there wela,

May I suggest as a first step you review this UKBA page.

Scroll down towards the bottom of the page and look under 'more information - can you switch into tier 2 (general) ?

I think you will find your chances are pretty good, and also you can switch from within UK

Please read the link carefully and follow all the associated links.

There should be no need to engage any solicitor or advisor if your circumstances are straighforward.

If you have any complications or weaknesses in your application please ask more questions here.
Do take time to review the Policy Guidance linked at the top right hand of the page.

Hope this helps you. Good luck.
