Hi Everyone, This is the first appeal from British Filipino to all of our members, and the appeal is simple. We would like to raise a small amount of money to be used in getting some much needed supplies for Kevin and Charlene Taylor in time for Christmas. These supplies could be simple things such as clothes, medicine, soap. Simple things that they need. All money raised will be given to Kevin's father who has been providing support for his son and daughter in law, but sadly has spent more money than he can afford. Also, for every £25 that members of this site donate, I will add £25 to the total. So if in total we raise £50, I will double that to £100. Now my limit is £100 that I can personally donate, so that is my maximum. But I would be very happy if members of this site pull together and donate £100 and I will then send Kevin's father £200. If you guys manage to pull together more than £100 then that along with £100 from me will be sent along to the Taylors.. The appeal is from now until December 15th when I will close all donations and send the final tally onto the Taylors via Paypal. Screenshots and other evidence of the money being received will be shown so that you all know the money has gone to the people who need it. For information about the Taylors, more can be found here To donate, just click the donate button up top.. Thanks for reading this. Sean
Hi Kuya please advertise it over on LiveInThePhilippinesForum.com as there are other members there who may not be aware of the event. Don't know the couple except from the extracts I have read but do know how bad their living conditions will be. Anyone nearby who can visit for an update on how they are and their needs?
Thanks Matt, I will post this there later today As an incentive, people who donate get the chance to have the donator rank This provides a few extra benefits to registered members when it comes to access to this site (though Trusted members and VIP members would not see any benefit from this).
No worries Oss.. I cannot afford to pump it up till December anyway, one of the main reasons I have it ending on the 15th. Gives me time to send it to Gerald Taylor, then he has time to do some good with it.. JohnAsh
Welcome.. I think most people should be able to afford £20 it will make the world of difference and let them know they aren't forgotten.
Maybe, but it depends on individual financial circumstances! Some people can't lose sight of even just a few quid, but for those who can't donate, spread the link for this page on Facebook, Twitter and where ever. Get the word out there that these two people are still in prison. Click on those social buttons, everything helps.
Not expecting everyone to donate btw.. but just saying would make the world of difference on many levels as I bet things are feeling very low right now.
Matt.. Cant access your site. Apparently it thinks I am a spammer!! Well done Kuya.. I hope you raise the 200 Quid.. Ive done my donating via western union through the Yahoo group. These people need a good lawyer.. They should of been released ages ago..Lack of evidence, lack of witnesses etc.. The list goes on. Just an idea.. What if we send the whole timeline of events (in Yahoo folder) to a number of different Filipino lawyers with an online presence and see if we can get a response or advice on how to proceed and end this thing.. Another idea is to set up an online petition that we can get members from all sites to sign.. If we can get enough we can send it in to Malacanang a 100 times until we get a reply..Send the same along with complete time line to the justice Secretary..Even the chief justice.. I cant see how it can do any harm.. Others may disagree. Left like this they could both wait for a court ruling for years more... Literally.
Hi Januarius it does it to me too sometimes when I am on my VPN email me at matt@mattwilkie.co.uk and I will set you an account up. Regarding the case its more common than not to see this sort of thing going on. Have you followed the Ian Griffiths and Bella Santos case? (also a British guy and partner). We need a consul with a spine to do something.
Got a message from Gerald Taylor, he and his family are grateful for our efforts! People, we need to keep this thread going to maximise the donations for the Taylors and more importantly, to keep the names Kevin Taylor and Charlene Taylor on the internet! If you can't donate, then click one of those social buttons up top and spread this through Facebook, Twitter and where ever else we might be able to get people's interest.
Worth someone looking into regarding the witness never showing up :- http://sc.judiciary.gov.ph/jurisprudence/2011/september2011/187728.htm
Methersgate.. Thanks for the donation! RPCebu - Thanks for that very generous donation.. Well guys, we currently sit at £181.00. This means that I will be adding another £100 to the total come December and we will be sending at the very least £281.00 to the Taylors. Will it rise to more? :vhappy:
Micawber Thanks for the donation.... £206.00 currently donated! That means we'll be sending at least £306.00!
