So I am a new member here and I am based in Scotland. You may well wonder why I am her and I will tell you why. I have been friends with a wonderful lady for nearly three years online and we talk every day. However, the problem, as it were, is that she lives in Olongappo City in the Philippines. On top of that she is in fact a non operative transsexual, which is of no concern to me as I value the person not what is between their legs as it were. We are in love with each other and we have started to discuss how we can have her move here to Scotland so we can become husband and wife. That is why I am here as I need help to figure all of this out. So please be gentle and kind and please feel free to ask me anything that you may want. I am an open book in my life. Also can I ask if there is any one that can help me on all of the issues with getting a visa for her? All help would be appreciated. All the best. L.
Welcome to the forum! I dont think that is going to be a problem unless your partner is married in ph. Have you two met? Thats is a requirement for you to get a visa for her.
Sorry, been on holiday Welcome to the darkside L. The situation is the same for same sex and hetro couples to be honest. The only thing to be aware of is the medical costs should she want to start / continue HRT and obviously go through SRS. You will probably find that the state will not cover anything probably for 5 years plus (?). HRT is not much of a problem as it can be bought online. UK transgender services are appalling as well. The best way to get your doxie over would be the Fiancee visa as you cannot marry in Phil ( apart from in the British embassy but I think you have to have been registered for 17 days, not looked into it. ). Usual caveats apply on existing marriages and kids etc. You need to show proof of a relationship, have met preferably three times. If you want to PM me then please do. My GF lives in Cayman ( and is not a teenager it has to be said ) so its a little different. We are planning to meet again at xmas ( which will be three ) and then she will come here on a Visitors visa for a couple of weeks in May until we both fly to Phil to meet the family. After that she will go back to Cayman to see out her contract ( up in Aug ) and we will also start the Fiancee visa process. She is also a member here, mainly to stalk me and keep me out of trouble I think. My main advice is you have to meet her in the flesh, I am not saying you are being scammed or anything but it has happened to a few people. the advice from this forum will be honest because there are some beautiful phil people who want love and marriage and they get a bad rep because of some of the others who have to make a living one way or another. I read it in a forum elsewhere that it was a box ticker. Not essential, the term they used was "preferable".
