Hi John and welcome to British Filipino, if you intend to travel back with your good lady early in the new year then its time to start thinking about applying for a Fiancee visa to bring her to the UK. The link below will give you a very good starting point, its what I used to get our visa underway. If you have any questions regarding the visa process then just post them here and the fine chaps and ladies here at BF will do their best to give you some guidance. http://www.british-filipino.com/ind...r-a-partner-spouse-visa-under-new-rules.5740/ Good luck, it isn't that hard really to get the visa, just needs a lot of attention to detail to get you through
It should be possible. You just have to stump up the visa fees, your fiancee has to pass an Enlish Language test. And proof of income, proof of ongoing and genuine relationship, etc etc needs to be submitted with the application.
Hi Timmers thanks for the response and welcome yes we intend to start the application next week so excited!
Because your girlfriend is widowed you might want to get a marriage certificate and then death certificate to prove to the UKBA she is definitely widowed, I doubt (could be wrong) that they will just except her word for it that she is widowed, just a thought.
Don't forget the CFO requirements too. These are easily overlooked as they are not a requirement of the British authorities; it is a requirement of the Philippines authorities before they they will let her out of the country on a fiancée visa... http://www.cfo.gov.ph/
Hi John T., here.... Looks like you're starting off in an organised way. Good luck to you. (I was married in the Philippines and that was a blast )
