I am Jhen. Hope to be of help in the near future for everyone here.
At the moment , I would like to ask an advise about applying a" joining parent visa" for my 12 year old daughter in the Philippines . We already got her TB Certificate and now on the process of Registering an Account in VISA4UK.

My question is on Registering an account for Visa4Uk, I should choose the applying for someone else' option as it is my daughter's application , am I correct?

Regarding who is the one sponsoring her , I assume my husband is the sponsor as I don't work and my husband is self-employed.

I am now a naturalized British Citizen and I come in to the UK 7 years ago on the old rules, so I assume that I am not subject to the financial Income threshold and only need to prove that we have enough money for my daughter's maintenance here , so I have to fill up Appendix 1?

I have sole responsibility for my daughter , her father was never named on her birth certificate and my parent's who looks after her in the Philippines are both sick.

Please someone maybe can help me on the documents they have submitted, too.

Thank you for reading my post.Your time and advice will be much appreciated.

    Best Regards,
    Jhen

Hello jhen and welcome to British Filipino, I will pass on this one and let one of the other members give you some pointers, I know the answer to some of your questions but not all, some of the chaps here have probably gone through the same process and point you in the right direction.

    Welcome aboard.

if you mentioned your daughter on the original application, then I reckon the old rules will apply.

but to be on the safe side, wait a wee longer and someone else may correct or agree with me.

Thank you everyone for the replies on my post.It is very much appreciated.
I did remember that I have mention about my daughter when I applied for ILE.
Saying that, I do not remember filing up a form about her when I applied for naturalization.

She has been granted a family visit visa last year and stayed with my husband and I for 4 months. Applying visa's has always been a tiring and a stressful task for me. Although we can proved that we can afford her maintenance here there is always a doubt if the ECO will grant the visa.

Does the Financial Threshold do not apply to us?

I would think it does. In the same way as it would if she had applied at the same time as yourself. Your husband is the sponsor so it would be his salary they would be interested in.

HI John Ash, thank you for your time and detailed advice regarding my questions.

On my first post I did mentioned that I've been granted settlement visa 7 years ago before the new rules (financial threshold).

A friend of mine did say that this does not apply to my daughter as I have been granted settlement visa and citizenship under the old rules. We only need to provide adequate accommodation and enough money for her maintenance. Is this correct?

Meeting the financial threshold will not be a problem however, if what counts is the net profit we did earn less than the required amount this year.

As my husband is self employed, they are a lot of documents required on meeting the financial threshold.

    The documents I have now with me are as follows;

Accountant's Audited accounts for April 2014- April 2015.

Letter of Accountant , confirming that they have acted as my husband's accountant for more than 20 years.(Chartered Accountants Members) they have confirmed that the business earns this and that. That we has our own place to live in.

    12 months Business Bank Statements

    12 months Personal Bank Statements

Is that all I have to provide?

Thank you so much for everyone who has spent time reading my post. All of your time and advice is very much appreciated.

My Best Regards for everyone in the forum.
