Hi everyone, just joined the forum as am British and married to a filipina. Am currently residing in the UK but have a house in Davao which is where my wife is from. We are currently waiting for a settlement visa (roll eyes) and hoping she will be here this month. We intend to go back to the Philippines within 10 years to set up businesses and retire. Any tips on learning Visya would be great hahahah. Hope to hear from you soon.
Welcome Jon, I have not found any courses in Visayan (Cebuano) yet. It is fairly easy to find help with Tagalog. If you do find learning aids, please let us know.
Welcome to the site. I would NOT get involved in any business in the Philippines if I were you. Not even as a sleeping partner. Plenty of other members will voice the same recommedation. If all the requirements are correct and in order, then there should be no problem with the Settlement Visa. All the best.
Thanks everyone......points taken onboard .......and if i find anything or one that can teach me visaya i will let you know aposhark
There are skype teachers operating out of the Fils and other resources https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=l...t=firefox-b&gfe_rd=cr&ei=EHmEWebAApLVXqOFmKAI
