Welcome bangerboy. I can't imagine how hard it must be to be separated from your boy like that. :( Good luck in sorting something out in the future so that you can all be together.

I was lucky to have the joy of bringing up my half-Filipino son, who is now 21 and born in the UK, but yet to hold the other one, born last Tuesday in the Phils. Just a couple of weeks to wait though. (Oh, and I'm 64 next month, so hardly a spring chicken :D ).

its a long crazy story but although my little wife is just 4'-11'' tall she is from -maripipi-biliran -leyte? and has a short fuse ???haha its best to run ??haha she stopped talking for 10 months --but we been ok for 6 months --right i took out to get her and son here --3 x £2,000 loans to keep in bank to show i had the money ? then being a clever cockney ??i thought i will get a good van so i can do some london disco's as i am a top specialist i do --theme nights --and good money --but it takes two to carry & set up ?so i employed a man who could also drive -BUT ?? he & his wife where junkie's (i told ruby on phone & she went mad & said dump him today !!!he rip you off --)i said how can he i get the money ?--then the insurance was due and his wife does --online banking so i gave her the just ??£39 -80 to pay the insurance -2 weeks later the police stopped me --no insurance --he had stolen the £39-80-i lost my £3,500 van it was crushed --and i lost my driving licence for 6 months --( its lucky hahaha there is 6,000 miles between me and ruby i am ex boxer but she beat me ??haha )the banks then put it up to £3,500 each so i went to help people called--step change and they payed them just £1 a month each hahaha-now i got a year with it frozen -the banks now willing to take just £1,200 each --so i cant have money in bank for ruby and kheiru --sorry about long story its all true --i am willing to give my mobile number any one wants to talk

I'm now confused so how will your wife and son be able to come to the UK then as you will need around 60k in a bank for six months or be earning over 16k per year as a requirement for the visas

That would be the priority for me..and at least not dependent upon how much money one has got.

My wife is from Biliran too, Kawayan municipality to be exact.

BTW, if you have disability benefits you are exempt from the usual income rules on your wife's visa application.

hi howard ,you asked what do i hope to gain --well i did not know any other people before who have married filipino girls and had no one to talk to thats english ?i meet filipino's here daily and so feel closer to my wife and son -it makes me feel closer to my wife and son to know that all of you on here have your filipino partners with you here and i have been very depressed for at least 2 years since loosing my van & going into debt ??i thought thats it there gone forever ?but straight away i got help and encouragement to fight again to bring them here --i am so very greatful for your help and the other people who have helped me --and the other question was about googles non stop disaster things on september 23rd -it depresses me --when my wife & son are 6,000 miles away & i cant protect them as a husband and father

@bangerboy If you are on disability benefits I can give you some pointers on how to get your wife and son here. I am disabled myself and my wife applied just 3 weeks ago for a UK visa. If you are not on disability benefits you will need an income of at least £18,600, assuming your child can get a British passport, otherwise you will need an income of at least £22,400 per annum.

So, if you have any questions just ask, meanwhile I wish you the best of luck.
