Hi everyone I am Rob I am a British citizen and I am currently engaged to a Filipino lady.
she has a 7 year old daughter from a previous relationship.
She is recently (1 month pregnant) and I am currently trying to find out the best way of us being together i.e in the UK.
I have heard some conflicting information ie it's better to marry in the Philippines and also I've heard it's better to marry in the UK
I am here looking for some good advice please as I have seen lots of useful information and links hair already need some advice on my particular circumstances

Hi Robert and :welcome: here :)
I married over there and would do it again if I had to choose. It was a blast.
Search our forum for spousal visa and the requirements you and your fiancée will need to provide when you are married.

His permission will be needed for leaving the country unless he has been missing for 7 years in which case it is possible to get a ruling of presumptive death

Thanks for the info I think that he will agree to her leaving,
At present she is applying for a fiance visa and hopefully she will be able to come over to have the baby and get married
I don't know if and how easy it will be for her to bring her 7 year old daughter with her

If the price is right............. Probably......
If it goes to the ropes, and he asks for money, I suggest you haggle, agree on something, give him a small down payment, very small, and promise the rest after the daughter is in the UK...

    Welcome aboard!!!!!!!
