Well, the long car accident saga is nearly over and just about time too... May the 5th, rear ended by some boy racer in a mkI golf Gti Repaired the boot lid, new rear bumper and just about settled with compo..... July 16th, concil lorry drops wheelie bin on my bonnet, causing a huge creased dent.... Car got picked up two weeks ago, returned after 6 days repaired, but I noticed cracked front wind screen.. Contacted them immediately, they denied it at first quoting the many photos they took proving that the crack was there already.... So I challenged them to show me the photos in question, because they were telling porkies... Stll no joy... But a promise of a call back which never came.... Last Friday, same story, a bloke in charge giving me the photo story again.... Same answer, same result... Zilch... Today I phoned my insurance and reported the fact...... After 20 minutes the garage receptionist calls me apologizing, and asking me if it was alright to pass my phone number to the glass man.... Yup, it is, dear.... Glass man just phoned to arrange an appointment for wednesday morning for changing the windscreen........ Result.... Why has it got to go to the extreme of having the insurance threaten to withold payments for work...??? Why give me the run around, trying to make me feel guilty...? Another strange thing happened.... In nearly six years I owned my Rover 75, I never used the tow hitch that usually sleeps in the tool cluster inside the spare wheel well of the car boot.... I found it on the floor of the car, I did ask them, but they cannot think of a reason why it should be there, so I left it for now....
