Hey Wondering if anyone can help me and my fiance. I posted this in the introduce me section but thought I'd try here in case people don't see it. I changed my name previously due to falling out with family (needed a fresh start), however, this has caused us some problems. The local municipality to my fiance says that because my birth certificate and affidavit don't match they can not accept it. They didn't like the deed poll and asked me to change the name on the birth certificate (which I know can not be done!). I was planning on going for a month in January to apply for the license and get married. But looks like that money might be better on being spent on the fiance visa . But if anyone has dealt with this before any tips or info? Thanks
