    From the BBC:

"A full smoking ban at all hospital sites in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan could come in October.

And smokers could be prescribed with nicotine replacement patches to help them cope during their stay at affected hospital sites, officials say.

Staff are already banned from smoking within the grounds but there are still smoking shelters for patients.

So the UK is finally catching-up then!

That's been the law here - and it is enforced in Davao - for a few years: no smoking within 100 metres of an entrance to any public building including hospitals, offices, malls etc.
