Hotels Nr. Navotas City?

    Hi everyone,

I promise I stop making so many threads after this. I was just wondering if there and good sites, or straight recommendations for hotels near to Navotas City, Manila. Every search that I do seems to come up with hotels around Makati, and generally a 45 minute or so taxi drive away.

I have found some that are actually in Navotas City, but they are to expensive. I wasn't going to book a hotel before I left, but instead find one when I got there. But having looked at how scarce they appear to be, I thought I might book a one for the day I arrive so I have a place to head to after my trip there.

    Slamuch ;)

When I went across first time I stayed a bit further down the road from there at the H2O Hotel. It was new and modern and not too pricey. It is opposite Rizal Park and part of the Manila Ocean Park complex, further around the bay.

I was in the cheaper suites so no aquarium in the room. Also had a good gym inside.

8.7km from the airport and just down the road from Novatas.

I recall it was £35 per night including breakfast.

If you have questions, ask away..

My own experience in Manila is limited to less than 2 weeks and that was staying in my in-laws condo. So not spent much time in hotels in and around the areas you are heading to.

But I am sure a few on here have ;)

As John says you might be best to be around Ermita area close to Rizal Park, that does give you a moderately long taxi ride though to get to Navotas, but Ermita is not so bad and there is a lot of good entertainment around Ermita, although some of it is not so salubrious and might not be appreciated by your lassie that you are going out to see.

My family live about eight miles from Ermita, you would be about 6 or 7 miles from Navotas if you stayed in Ermita, our taxi ride is about 25 minutes and about 150 peso (about £2.40).

Makati to Navotas is generally going to take longer than 45 minutes by taxi.

Have a look at this lot here on booking.com anything with a 7 or above rating should be quite good, I've not stayed in any of these but I know where a lot of them are, Mabini street is not exactly pretty but the surrounding area is not that bad, we like the restaurants around Remidios Circle and the pool hall there so we visit the area quite a lot and we used to live close by 5 years ago.

Thanks guys. Looks like I'm just going to have to book somewhere a little distance from Navotas. I just didn't want to be so far from my friends house. Do you know if you're aloud to bring people back to the hotel to spend the night, or would I have to pay for an extra person? Sorry, probably an obvious answer, but I've not stayed in many hotels to be honest.

I'm not being cheeky but it is often their stock in trade for obvious reasons, I would be surprised if anyone commented.

Prices are usually per room not per person but I have seen occasional variations from that policy in recent years so just check the terms of the hotel carefully.

Anytime Ana and I have traveled over there we have booked a room at a price per room, never paid extra for an extra person.

I stayed at the H2O on my own and saw my wife during the stay. That's the way it remained until we married. Anyhow, yes the booking was per room at the H2O.

That is also a very pertinent point :D

Thanks, when I say to stay the night, I don't mean for anything sordid, I just mean to save so much travel time as I will only be there for 9 days.
