Hello! I wonder if anyone knows the procedure or have an experience bringing elders to live with you here in the UK. My Mom, is living on her own in the Philippines. I am thinking of bringing her here to live with me. But I have been recently diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Chronic back pains. I was awarded Personal Independent Payments. Would this be an issue to bring her over to live with me? Thanks in advance...

from what ive read on the subject--it will be very difficult indeed. the numbers of settlement visas for elderly relatives granted each year is almost in single figures. Your mother would need to prove there is no one else back home to look after her--if she even needs looking after.
