Hi All, I hope someone can help me- We are now completing the FLR documents for my daughter and I. We initially paid for my daughter's IHS when we applied for UK visa in the Philippines. Now, I lost the IHS number for my daughter and we need it for the FLR application. Is there a way to retrieve it? I hope we don't have to pay another £600 for it.
I'm not sure I understand. If you paid the IHS for your daughter when she obtained the visa to enter the UK, that payment will only run until her visa expires. If you are applying for a new FLR visa for both of you after being in the UK for some time, then you will need to make new IHS payments for both of you when you apply.
Sorry, I don't think I explained properly on my first post. So we applied for a Fiancee visa initially and had to pay the IHS fee for my daughter. Generally a fiancée visa does not require IHS as it is still classed as a temporary visa expiring in 6 months. Since the Visa application site forced us to pay for my daughter I need the reference number for the FLR application so I do not need to pay it again, unfortunately amongst the paperwork I have lost the reference number...
when you paid IHS for your daughter, how much did you pay? The rate is £200 per year - so you would pay £500 for a two a half years spouse visa for example.
so--you applied for a settlement ( marriage ) visa --"fiancee"-visa for yourself----which is a 6 month visa so no IHS is charged---------plus a settlement visa for your daughter---which is for an initial 30 months therefore the IHS fee was charged. is this correct ?
I see. So you've already effectively paid for your daughter for the duration of your first FLR. It makes sense now. Don't you have a copy of your original documentation or any emails which contained the reference number? The only other thing I can suggest is calling the UKVI service and asking them how you can find it out..
going off topic a bit-----i wonder what happens in a situation like this--if the marriage doesnt take place--and the applicant has to return before the 6 months is up ? what then happens to any dependants ?
