Ah, does this mean a new bottle of choice may grace our computer screens especially for @Scotschap16 ? :)

Well Mac - I am partial to a nice malt... although not a massive fan of the peaty Islay ones.

I enjoy a Highland Park or Bowmore (Islay but not too smokey) -- I live about 5 miles from the Lowland Glenkinchie distillery and have enjoyed several fine expressions. At the moment I'm particularly savouring a 15 year old Glenmorangie - out of ruby port cask.... nectar of the god's!

I don't drink that often these days and if truth be told I drink more gin than Scotch these days - with many fine Scottish brands to tempt me with their botanicals.

Jeez - the sun's not yet over the yardarm but all this booze talk makes me want a snifter! :):)

Thank you Gerry! That's helpful. And yes, it really is galling. Hope we all get a positive decision, though! Good luck!

I could have added Bass - a wonderful pint when looked after well and served properly.

Lots of great Scottish beers too - if you see Caledonian Brewery's "Deuchar's" or 80 shilling you're in for a rare treat. Orkney Dark Island is also wonderful.

Very happy to try those - am enjoying making a list of the beers I'm trying after "graduating" from lager to ales and currently preferring the golden and ruby varieties :geek::confused::D

Good to see you've kicked the euro-fizz into touch as my father called it and are now experiencing the taste of real ale, you know it makes sense :like:

In a previous life, that is living and working in England, my Engineering Manager at the time was the secretary of the local branch of Campaign for Real Ale, CAMRA. Many a good evening spent visiting the breweries and pubs in Essex, London, Suffolk and surrounding areas. London Pride and ESB gets my vote.

Just to give an update....now into week 8 and nothing, no calls or further enquires. Sent another email last week enquiring about delay and no response either...so frustrating. Oh well...patience, patience, patience:(

That's awfully long to wait for a priority processing. I hope you hear from them soon.

It s the helpless feeling that gets to me....nothing I can do about it. Its a shame there is no way to complain about the service without blacklisting yourself in the future. I really dont think they should offer the priority service if they know that its not going to be possible to process it in the advertised time scale.

That's horrible. I know how it feels waiting but it feels worse knowing that you paid for priority and still no news from them.

Just hold on tight. The good news might be coming soon :)

Yes my wife had a text verification that the application was in the system. We also paid extra to have the docs scanned to speed it up as they would be going to Sheffield. Text confirmed that they were emailed and in the system. The text came through latter that day.
