To be fair though this is the same in most western Judao/Christian evolved countries. Due to the biblical limitations on ending our own lives should we wish, our laws have kept this point even though many people suffer. It is sad, he should have been given the right to get help from doctors to end his suffering.
I found it quite upsetting really. It's an extremely complicated issue but Tony Nicklinson had raised it to a high level and had put all his faith in a positive outcome. I do hope that by some means or other the issue continues to get pushed onwards. Hopefully someone may take up the appeal and continue with the case. The latest news reports indicate that he was totally devastated and unable to accept the decision. At least his is at peace now and free from his 'prison'.
