I was really feeling sorry for the guy... Been in foster care for a few years, real Parents dead, maybe in danger of real harm on returning to his country, doing extremely well in school......:drama:
Lots of people have been taken by this little plonker in his little scheme to come here and work......

    He was lying all along.....
I hope UKBA does send him back ignoring whoever is trying to keep him here.
    Bloody appeals....:erm:

This is the first time I have read this story.
I can understand how you would feel personally betrayed by the young guy.

It seems to have all just snowballed out of control.

My biggest gripe is with the seemingly blatent inconsistentcies and inequalities in UKBA operations.

Better to utilse the finite resources on those who are illegally here, solely to engage in illegal activities.

I do accept that the courts have said he must leave, just saying that this specific case doesn't bug me as much as others.

    Just my 2 pence worth.

    Dom,

I guess that Ahmer Rana / Daniyal Shahzad / aka Dodgy Geezer, and that erstwhile politician Jonathan Edwards, MP will not be on your Christmas card list this year ?

… and going off at a tangent, the recent story about the “gang” fight at Trafalgar Square… …..http://www.thelondondailynews.com/stabbed-mass-brawl-trafalgar-square-p-5108.html
…. The last time I looked Albania, Kosovo, or Serbia weren’t in the EU. So why haven’t all these men/youths who were arrested, been detained in custody, and then automatically deported ????

Firstly, (as a newbie) I should say I tend not to harbour any extremist views. But I do wholeheartedly agree with this statement. I would be willing to bet none of those arrested will be deported.

    Neither do we....

but it would be very nice to see things done in the right way, for a change.
We do rant and rave, as it is a very human thing to do, ie release some pressure instead of blowing a gasket.

But we have to come to the conclusion that the politicians don't see what average tom, dick, or harriet notice out on the streets of this once great, green and fragrant land.

    Chaos....

The whole thing is a farce and the UKBA should have done their job properly in the first place. But we all know that he wont be deported, our warped and pig eared justice system will mean the appeals, counter appeals, rulings will take years, then when someone takes a decision to deport him, he'll disappear. So very predictable.
