Not usually one to bother with the X factor, but decided to check out the US version. Well, I will be very surprised if the X Factor USA gets anybody who can sing better than Melanie Amaro! Seriously, this young lady has a far better voice than Leona Lewis. Singing a Beyonce song she quite literally blew the judges and the audience away with her voice. I might just head down to the bookies this week for a quick punt on this contestant..... So what do you guys think?
I didn't even know the original song but that lassie really has the gift,and I hate that show There is a level of achievement of perfection beyond which it is hard to go, this girl is one example of this.
Agreed Kuya, that was a really stunning performance. What a wonderful and powerful voice. I'm still a big fan of Leona Lewis. She also gives a stunning performance. A big bonus for me is that she has her own unique voice and presentation which also demonstrates a passion. Leona Lewis - Run Leona Lewis - Better In Time
Interesting; I am a fan of Snow Patrol and I do really love that first song but I had never heard of Leona Lewis, a reasonable interpretation but I do prefer the original. The second song I've never heard before. One thing that has struck me over the years is that the Philippines is full of incredibly talented artists, singers, drummers, guitarists, keyboard players, you name it they have it. In the UK, if I went out deliberately to listen to music, it would be folk. Folk music has always been my passion as there is a pain and sorrow and a joy in the older stuff that is hard to express otherwise.
The show is over... This young lady is in a different class to all of the other "contestants" and Simon Cowell knows it! If Melanie Amaro does not win the US X factor, you know it was fixed...
