So, apart from true Celts and Picts everybody else from Norman and Saxon stock could be deported........... Cool............

Now I was not exactly sober last night and I was just browsing around, I was spurred on by something Kuya posted regarding how hard it would be to deport a mother of a British Citizen when I found this document.

It is for Criminal Cases but I guess it applies to everyone, this document was just so hard to read and must be really hard even for those working on investigations, I was also intrigued by the "Restricted - do not disclose" section, I wonder what could be so controversial about deportation that I cannot be published?

And yeah Dom I was kind of getting the idea that I could get deported as I wasn't sure I could fulfil all the requirements :) although I did wonder how they would pick a place to send me? :)

They might send you to Australia OSS, that will be ok and you'll be a little closer to the bairns :)

You're right about the document being hard to interpret, I think you need to be a lawyer to get your head round it, looks like it would be an interesting document to read if you could understand it :)

We could do with a lawyer here at BF who could summarise the document for us with a couple of paragraphs of key points that we can all clearly understand and relate to.

The reason I posted it is that you can navigate from it to other documents, the links work some of them go to even harder to understand documents :)

Regarding Australia being closer to the kids, it is not a lot closer, if I was sent to Melbourne I would still be 4000 miles from the Phils.

I often think that some documents specifically written so that your average Joe cannot understand them clearly and has to seek the assistance of someone who can, at a price off course.

That would be 3k miles less to travel and a couple 'hundred Quid cheaper...

I checked the prices the other year Dom when one of our other members talked about it , not a huge price difference to be honest.

I tried to understand it, and came to the quite alarming conclusion that my oldest son, born in Manila before his parents were married, although subsequently "legitimated", having lived in Britain since he was four, and having carried a British passport for the whole of that time, might not, in fact, be "British". Hope I am misunderstanding something.
