This is a list of approved tests: https://assets.publishing.service.g...anguage_Tests_and_Test_Centres__-_website.pdf Where do you live? We did our A2 test at Trinity College, London, and booked it online on their website.
You should be able to go to London easy enough then. Just go to Trinity College website and book it there. Get your husband to help you with it (I assume you have an English husband?).
There is an IELT test center in Canterbury , if you can google details , or call 01227 819033. Chaucer College Canterbury .
please be aware it has to be a IELTS for UKVI test center. we were lucky--Highbury college in Portsmouth is an authorised place--on the list. easy journey for us--but very expensive £57 on the isle of Wight ferry. no way would i go to London if i could possibly avoid it. my wife took B1 rather than A2--so should be valid for her ILR in due course. she passed.
Yes thanks for spotting that Maharg , you are correct . Chaucer college is British Council registered for IELT but NOT for UKVI . Ignore my post above cheng.
Very important, this, Cheng. You have to do the test at a place that is on the list. https://assets.publishing.service.g...anguage_Tests_and_Test_Centres__-_website.pdf If in doubt, go to the Trinity website that I posted before, and book it there. It is a relatively simple, oral test. https://www.trinitycollege.com/site/?id=3218 Get your husband to help you.
i was surprised how few places were left on the website--and they go quickly--you may need to book up a few weeks ahead.
It was really easy. I got paired up with a chap who described he liked drawing. I asked 2 simple questions I described I liked sightseeing he asked 2 basic questions. Job done. Pass
We are planning Mica's A2 soon in Manchester. She has connected with some local filipinos who are here on visitors visa and are going back to the philippines to get married and then come back on a spouse visa. They were not aware of the fiancee visa or that they could do the IELTS in the UK whilst they were here. The government website is very poor at explaining the options clearly
