Had to do it, he's got others banned because some post don't agree with himself. All because his team Man U got beat by a better team. No need to put his name up. I thought a month would heal his bitterness but nope.
I understand how you feel because I had to ignore one member for a long time and I began enjoying the forum because I could no longer see his posts. He was banned later on with other members in a similar time frame and the forum was much healthier from then on from my point of view. You will enjoy the forum a lot more now, I think. You've done the right thing; we've only got one life and we have to make it as good as we can, if we can.
What absolute tosh! Funny how all the old hands chuck people on ignore and get banned Ash,Boots,Graham, Markham,. Some people need to handle banter.
You don't see their posts but it can't stop you seeing their posts when they are quoted, text is just text it's not clever and most forum software is just stored as simple old fashioned text like the bulletin board's that forums evolved from. I've thought about writing Forum software that tracked everything as an object graph and that reconstructed the textual context from that object graph that way any block of quoted text would retain the knowledge of where it came from and could be screened accordingly but whether I will ever do it is another matter, when I am away from work I tend not to do any computer based work these days.
