The Sun Sniper, they do several versions, the steel would not survive wire cutters but the potential thieves are more likely to use a Stanley knife or the likes.

Ah, I had seen the sun-sniper before online. I am waiting to get a good price on the carry speed strap with the mounting plate that fits onto a tripod.
It doesn't have a steel wire inside but I no longer work in Nigeria and Phils/Uk are not too bad.

My third day in Manila was best day so far... We went to ocean park and asia mall.. My mahal wanted pizza so she got it :)
We've enjoyed every moment, especially that we are opposite in one thing only: I am quiet (man of few words) and she likes to talk..
Most enjoyable thing of today was... ENGAGING.. YES, WE ARE ENGAGED :vhappy: .. yeepeee :D :D :D
    my wife_to_be :)

If somebody had told me last December that on March 2012 I will be engaging a filipina I would told him he's out of his mind.. I can't believe its happening.. :D

    Congratulations ad4ms3 :vhappy:
There are many happily married Fil-Brit couples here so we all know how easy it is to fall in love with a Filipina.

Everything happened very fast for me too and I've never looked back :)

Don't forget to keep flight tickets, hotel room receipts and take photos. These will help with evidence of relationship when she will apply for her spousal visa after the wedding :D

I know it was quick but seeing her, being with her, the way she is I couldn't resist, hesitate.. Well, the most important was "Yes" coming out from her mouth so even it was a bit quick it was worth it :)

Another day has begun.. She'll be here soon so better to tidy up my room (that heat knocked me down last evening so I couldn't be asked to do anything hehe :D )..
I don't know yet what is the plan for today.. I'll be here tonight to share another experience..

Anyway.. After going away from Eurotel I really enjoy Manila..

I found cockroach in my room.. How much I hate crawling things :/

You'll just have to put up with the cockroaches, it's not really a sign of lack of hygiene, they are absolutely everywhere in Manila almost impossible to escape them.

Well certainly my partner and I became long term after six months although we had committed to each other before that, we set up a home after about eight months, it kind of became formal after we started living together as a family for six weeks in 2005, it's been a rocky road since but not something I would ever change.

If you can afford it there is an early morning boat to the island of Corregidor in Manila bay, the place is really beautiful on a sunny day and reeks of history, it was the centre of major World War II battles and is a very poignant place to visit, especially if you have family who were involved in the war even if they did not fight in the Asian theatre.

It is also extremely quiet and peaceful a total absence of the hustle and bustle of Manila and only a few miles offshore, you can see it in the middle of the bay if you look out to sea.

If you do go for this you need to be up early like 6am or earlier but it really is worth it.

    Congratulations on getting engaged :like:

We all know how different the Philippines is to Europe and the UK, I guess the culture shock hits us all. My first visit shocked me by how much poverty I saw, I expected something a bit more like Thailand but was soon taken aback by the constant knocking on my taxi by beggars.

I have only been married 2 days but can say already it was perhaps the best thing I have ever done!

Though don't expect things to move quickly when it comes to getting all of the requirements together and what not, all of the members who got married and moved to the UK spent about 2 years doing all of that (on average), so it is a tough ride for most of the first couple of years - but worth it!

Yes, my first day was a massive shock.. Now I got used to it and I really like Manila more than any other city in the UK.. I love the way they live.. Noone bothers about health&safety.. life just goes on.. I havent seen bad sides of those yet but after seeing everyday life it will be hard for me to accept life in the uk.. If I hadnt made a mistake in the past perhaps I would move here.. hmmm...

Well today not much happen.. My mahal is still in shock.. such an unexpected "Will you marry me?".. :D We just went to the church, restaurant, watched movie "The devil inside me" and that was it for today.. Rest of the day together in the hotel :)
Perhaps tomorrow Im going to meet her parents and explain engagement hehehe :D Cant wait to meet them.. They are very nice :)
