Hi. Just looking for any advice for my partner for the face to face interview she will have after submitting her application for the visa.
What will they ask and what should she know?
Any advice much appreciated thanks ;)

My wife says they just asked a few simple questions when taking her photo, but she never had a formal interview. Just simple questions like:

When did you meet your fiance?
    Where does your fiance live?
How long have you been together?

I think they only interview you if there are questions about the application. If it's done thoroughly she won't have an interview.

I remember asking the agency I used about this, and they said: "Don't worry. She won't need one". And she didn't.

I wouldn't call it a face to face interview as such, when you submit the documents for the visa at the VFS office they will just ask you questions relating to the documents you are submitting, make sure you pay for the premium submission at the VFS office (small fee), this way you will not have to queue up.

It is after you receive the settlement visa you will have to answer a few questions when you apply for the CFO sticker/certificate.

    The link below gives information on the CFO process;

My wife was scared to death of going into the VFS office in case they asked her lots of questions.
As Timmers said, it was hardly any questions and she re-emerged at the bottom of the building a short time later.
I asked her how it went and how did she feel.
She replied "I feel a little bit happy now".

They used to conduct interviews a few years ago. But that stopped. It is an extreme rarity now. The key is to get the paperwork right at the point of application.

If you hear or read about interviews, it is a thing of the past for the UK.

My son was asked how old is your sister and he was shaking like a leaf and very sweaty he's not used to being interviewed well it's not really an interview and in the end instead of saying 12 he said 13 as he counted the years well she is really turning 13. The guy who is taking biometric said "kinakabahan Ka Ba?" He got scared as he got it wrong and he thinks that their application will get declined, and my friend said he's getting a bit concerned as he didn't get sisters age right!

hi, was with my wife at VFS 2 months ago when we submitted our visa application documents, there is no interview, all we had to do was fill in a questionnaire, some of the answer we did not know, but we asked the girl behind the desk and they were happy to help, we purchased a VIP premium lounge service well worth it, as they check all the documents, and let you know if any are missing...

Hey will..congrats on your successful visa! We seem to be on the same road just months apart. Can i ask how you paid for the VIP premium lounge service? I saw it on the vfs website, but when i paid the application fee it went to standard after i had previously selected VIP lounge. Can my wife pay once she arrives at the center? How long did you wait for your visa to be granted? cheers!

Interviews at the embassy are rare these days but you will have to attend if requested and that means in Manila theses days as there is no Consulate for visa purposes in Cebu any more. So it is an idea to leave one day off work for this should any request for interview be sent to you.
