Is it required to renew British Passport while in Philippines on permanent 13a?

If a British citizen is living in Philippines on permanent 13a visa, can he live in Philippines on expired British passport?

Does Bureau of Immigration in Philippines ask for a valid British passport for ACR renewals after 5 years, and also for yearly reporting? What if the passport is expired?

You've asked this question before and I told you that you need to ensure you have a valid Passport at all times. The Bureau of Immigration will require to see your Passport from time to time and as you can renew your Passport online and this even includes sending an electronic photo to the Passport Office, why would you want to even contemplate living with an expired Passport?

You do need your Passport when you renew your ACR Card and some regional Immigration offices insist that you produce it (or a photocopy), along with your ACR Card when you make your Annual Report each January.

You will also need a valid Passport for certain financial transactions.

British Passport can be renewed only by sending it via courier to London. I was just concerned what if the passport is lost in the post. Another option is to have a quick trip to UK and get it done in person.

It doesn't go in "the post".. When you apply the fee includes the price of an expensive "trackable" courier.
Make copies of your passport pages and have them notarized before sending..It`s the best we can do given that the UK embassy are a useless shower of ****e with no authority to issue Brits with PP`s abroad.

If you wait till your passport is expired, a "quick trip to the UK" is no longer an option.

    Returning to your main question.
I guess that might be OK till you get caught, why would you knowingly let your passport expire?

I looked into this quite deeply before as my wife and kids UK passports had expired..I didn't think it a huge issue because they all have valid travel docs..(R.P passports)
The info I found from a Brit Gov website was that technically speaking a Brit that wants to travel directly home on an invalid passport will have no problems in the UK immigration simply because the expired document proves they are British.
I was told if I printed out this information and shown it to the airline check in,they should let them travel.
In theory, any Brit if going directly home can do the same.
We got their passports renewed anyway..Just in case!!

If I travel to UK to apply for same-day passport renewal, application form asks UK residential address, but if I have no permanent address in UK as I sold my UK house, can I write hotel address in UK? Or shall I write in Additional Information, that I am living abroad and visited UK to renew my passport?
