Hi, my name is Richard and I'm a 54 year old UK citizen. Ive recently met a gorgeous Filipina and am planning to have her live with me in the UK as soon as posdible. We met via a dating site and I'm currently in Manilà visiting her. I would appreciate any advice on visa application. What I have read so far is that a marriage visa would be the best way as we plan to get married in the UK within 6 months of her being there.
Hello Richard--and welcome to the site. one thing you need to make certain of--has she ever been married ?
All you need is a home (in the UK), a steady job bringing in more than £18,600 a year gross, and a few thousand quid... and she's in . I'd be taking a close look at her family too though.... as you're likely to be supporting a few of them as well as the Mrs. No way around that. It's their culture. Don't ignore it.
Hi Richard and welcome at present you have a few options each has benifits and drawbacks so the path you choose will be very much suits you. Marriage visit visa valid for 6 months the good lady comes over here you marry but at the end of the six months she has to return to the Philippines and you apply for a spouse visa Fiancee visa the good lady comes over here you marry within 6 months and while the visa is still valid you apply for Leave to Remain without her leaving the UK Spouse visa you marry her over there then apply for spouse visa Different visa costs and travel costs involved as well as potential periods away from eeach other how long have you known her and how many times have you visited her?
I'm with Druk on this one. From your post it sounds as if you've just met her for the first time. If that's the case, them whoa there fella, there's a lot to consider before rushing to the altar.
I first went to the Philippines a long, long time ago,the number of guys I have met rushing in and regretting it would fill a library never mind a book
