I started recording this after my daughter was about one verse into it. Leonard Cohen Hallelujah. This is not a religious song it's more spiritual than anything. No I'm uploading it to my YouTube now and will share from there. Since I moved house I have lousy internet, I don't have fibre yet, so I'm using a 4G router with a giffgaff SIM card and it's terrible but better than nothing.
Interesting that you use the word confident as this was at home, I have another one when we went out as a family broke the rules a bit but we were allowed into a Padi's Point near home and Janna went up and did a floor spot the crowd were shouting for more at the end I was very proud. It'll take ages to upload the other one and the acoustics are not as good as it was a live band in a large place but I will try to upload it overnight, she always wins her school music singing competitions often Filipino folk music and she's been doing that since she was a little girl but she really surprised me with her confidence on stage when we were out, not a perfect performance but a very good one. She's only 14.
That's the terrible danger for all youngsters now since way back kids in the UK make themselves look so much older. edit: and it is the same now in the Philippines. Janna will be 15 this year, James's new school friends recently thought Janna was his big sister because she seemed more mature but he's 3 years older and 6' 4" She is still a child watch her sit down and the way she moves her legs there is still the little girl there. But yes she is trying to be grown up, it makes me sad and proud at the same time, she has talent but needs to work at it. I was in tears at the end of that song as I was there and had the real acoustics you only get what my phone delivered, the way she sang was powerful and I was completely sober She started singing when she was two years old, I still have some videos somewhere of her standing on our unit next to that Santo Nino statue singing her heart out
The sound quality is not great this is just my phone, my son James made a better recording but in portrait mode as kids will do and so will many others. James had the advantage of his iPhone processing the sound but this is just straight out my OnePlus 7 Pro. I get a few seconds extra where the crowd wants more
