For those of you who enjoy some rap music at times... :D Not all of these songs are strictly rap songs, but they all contain rap elements:like:

    5. Black Eyed Peas - The Time (Dirty Bit)

Ok, I hated this when it first hit the airwaves. But sure enough, it's grown on me...

    4. Tinie Tempah - Written In The Stars ft. Eric Turner

This is the song that convinced me that British rap could equal what is coming out of America (though to be honest, it is really an Anglo-American production).

    3. Jay Z & Linkin Park - Jigga What/faint

This is from the mash up album "Collision Course" and is perhaps the best example of rap and Rock since Aerosmith and Run DMC did "Walk this Way". For rap and Nu Metal fans only....

    2. Blackstreet - No Diggity ft. Dr. Dre, Queen Pen

As far as Hip Hop and rap goes, this is a classic! And as it is quite old now, I would guess so many people growing up don't even know this song at all.

    1. Puff Daddy feat. Faith Evans - I'll be missing you

Produced after the killing of Notorious B.I.G. This rap song is by his producer and now frontman Sean Combs (Who now goes by the name P Diddy), this incorporated "Every Breath You Take" from The Police into a catchy rap ballad and singing by Faith evans - the widow of Notorious B.I.G

Gotta say Kuya that Rap has never been my 'cup-of-tea'. Sorry.
I did listen to your choices though and had actually heard most before. Maybe even on the radio.

Has anyone noticed how some shops in Philippines play real 'hard-core' rap complete with "strong" lyrics?
I often wonder if they really understand what's being said and what it means sometimes. Doesn't quite fit those seeming innocent faces of the sales ladies. He he

Sorry Sean - to me personally - this is not music - I would refer to it as c**p! With a very few exceptions - my appreciation of music ended in the eighties!!
In those days, I could have named everyone in the charts - today, I couldn't tell you one person in the charts.
Of course, this is an upper middle-aged man talking - however, I do have some experience, having been a professional musician before I entered teaching.

Each to his/her own I suppose - enjoy your rap mate - music is for one to enjoy after all.:like:
