I think you should modify your post to show the number of days per week worked, hours per day, location, summary of duties, start and end times, accommodation details and so forth. Might help anyone considering it to make an assessment. You also might want to consider using a proper job agency... However, welcome to the forum.

For your own benefit and security I did edit your email address.
Never post personal email on the open web.

    Going back to your post.......

We don't encourage or endorse offers of employment.

I would respectfully suggest you ask a specialist nanny or domestic service agency, they will be more on the ball and can advise you for the best course of action in this regard.

May I also point out, that by offering a full time position, you may well be liable to pay Workplace pension contributions on top of the more normal PAYE and NI..

Good luck in your search, I doubt very much that any of our members can be of any help in that respect.

    Welcome aboard.

So you'll be registering with HMRC as an employer and operating a PAYE scheme ?

I suspect not. 15K is a hell of a discount on nursery rates for fulltime care for 2 babies. Last time I checked, part-time [25 hours a week] nursery care was about 6000 a year for one child.
With a housekeeper, cook and domestic slave all thrown in or free. It all comes to less than minimum wage.

Frankly it annoys me when people see 'Filipina' and read 'Slave'. If its an honest above-board bona-fide employment opportunity, then I think it should be advertised with an agency and fully disclose salary, pension details, hours, days off, duties, accomodation, health and safety and other terms.

    OK. Rant over.

Choiandjohn thank you for your comments I personally think you are too quick to judge and also I find your remarks quite ignorant. I've seen how some of the agencies take advantage of people seeking work and looking to employ.
We don't exploit or underpay. We are law abiding citizens. The job is considered well paid with the added benefit of live in.
It's not a full time child care position, it's managing the house for two professional working adults. We look after our children with help when needed.
It certainly is not slavery and find your remarks insulting.
Anyway rant over I now need to attend a very important international meeting to save the world

I'm sorry that you are upset, or if you have felt I judged you. As a guy with a filipina wife I am merely looking out for the filipino community.

I would like to remind you that this is the first time that you've answered more than a single line.
I personally would have found it easier to assess your intention if you had given full details at some point. Your single line responses made it appear as if you had something to hide. I'm sorry about that.

Leaving aside the fact that this forum isn't really an employment agency for a moment,
don't you agree that it would go a long way to making this posting seem genuine if you posted a proper job description?

I am not sure that I agree with your assessment of the role being considered well paid because you have not given full details of duties or any details of working hours. If you give those, then I will happily apologize and agree that this role does pay above minumum wage, because right now, I feel that it doesn't.

I have some suggestions for some items that I feel would benefit from full disclosure:

What are the Working Hours (start and finish)?
How many Days off will there be in a month?
    Is there weekend work expected?
How many hours in a working week?
What are the Expected Duties? (an exact list)
Is the candidate expected to wake at night to attend to babies?
You indicate there is a pension What percentage is it?
What is your registered company name & number?
Is this candidate going to be cooking three meals a day?
What accomodation are they going to be given?
Will they have use of a car?
How many adults currently live in the house?
How many other children apart from two babies?
Will the person be doing laundry? Is there a drying machine?
Will the person be doing ironing?
Will the person be working outside in the garden?
What protective clothing do you have available for domestic work such as protective eyewear, ear protection, hand protection etc as appropriate.
Will the person be preparing baby food and milk?
Is the house adequately childproofed with covers on sockets and locks on kitchen cupboard doors?
How big is the house they will be cleaning?
Is the house single floor or several floors?
Is the house fitting with snoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors?
What insurance policies do you have in place?
What certification do you require from the candidate?
What previous experience? What references are required?
I assume that you will have a formal contract of employment?
And that you are an equal opportunity employer, hence applications from men are welcome?

Since you have indicated that you are an employer, you may find reference to some of the below items helpful.

Health & Safety at work act (1974)
The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations (1999)
Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations (1992)
The Health and Safety Information for Employees Regulations (1989)
Employers’ Liability (Compulsory Insurance) Act (1969)

    Electricity at Work Regulations (1989)
Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (1981)

Anyways. I wish you good luck in your search. Hope it works out for you.

Thanks for your reply and advice.
I have several business's and employ up to 100 people and I am fully aware of the law and working conditions.
The work vacancy is for my home and not for a business or company and is treated as that.
The job vacancy offered for the right person will be given a job description entitlements etc as of any other job.
I was only outlining the job with bullet points the same as most jobs advertised.
There is nothing dubious nor do I have anything to hide.
Over the last 30 years I have had Filipino's work for me in various roles and work positions.
I actually have heard horrendous stories and seen for myself terrible working conditions and pure exploitation in this country.
I am full time hard working professional and my single line responses are purely straight to the point and answering the question. I don't need to go in to detail until I find suitable applicants to interview which is quite normal
    I do appreciate your concern.
I think I am quite justified to put a job vacancy on this site as it will only benefit both parties involved wouldn't you agree?
I understood this website is a public service with notice boards and forums to help the community for all concerned

Well, firstly I would like to make it clear that I don't want my questions to come across as a personal attack. Really.

I feel that its reasonable to ask for details. That could also be construed as being a 'mutual benefit' to both the potential applicant and also to yourself so that you don't have to repeat yourself in questioning.

I thought that you had said above you offered a workplace pension and the job was not "cash in hand". Hence I understood you to be a business and that you're registered for PAYE and that you have to abide by the HSE directives.

As a business owner myself, I frankly am surprised that you didn't choose to use an agency or fully describe the role that you wanted filled (including working hours which I am sure you will agree are an important detail).

I would love the arrangement to be of mutual benefit to yourself and to the (presumably filipino) applicant, and my questions are merely directed to ascertain that. No personal offense is meant, and, as I said earlier, I hope that you find what you are looking for.
