    Mrs Ash made these today. Served with rice and a tomato dip.
    very nice indeed. The wrappers she bought in from the local Pinoy food store.

    Lumpiang Shanghai
    (Chinese Spring Rolls)

    Makes 90 pieces

    INGREDIENTS

    3 cups round pork (chicken or shrimp may also be used)
    1 pouch Mama Sita’s Fried Spring Roll (Lumpiang Shanghai) Seasoning Mix
    1 1/4 cup carrots, finely chopped
    1 cup onions, finely chopped
    2 tbsp. spring onions, finely chopped
    1 egg, beaten
    45 pcs. lumpia wrapper
    1 egg white, beaten
    1/2 cup flour
    1 cup cooking oil

    I hope that was just your first course John, a few spring rolls isn't enough for a growing lad like you :)

    Nooo with my desk job I have to be careful on quantity. Mind you I think I had 9 of them. LOL

    Those spring rolly things whether veggie or with meat are extremely tasty, excellent appetizer.
