Very clever. I know exactly what your game is. I do not believe that you are innocently reporting anything. This forum would be a better place without you in it.

of the 11 ASEAN nationalities, some are closer together than others, and Thais and Lao are probably the two closest together of them all. Indonesians and Malayans, Filipinos and Malayans are also close.

Burmese are probably the most distinctive. They can tend to have darker complexions, like Indians. But even so you might easily mistake a Burmese with a Filipino if they are in a crowd on the London Tube.

If that is all you can find to complain about with Whippy's posts then this forum is sinking under the weight of its own apathy.

You only notice these quirks of meaning when you know a bit of language Ive experienced this in Portugal in fact to this day I have to think carefully befor using the word for post office so as not to offend :) although even that depends to some extent on where you are geographically as in the north its more common to use colourful language in public

I have brought two SEAsian girls to Thailand on vacations. One, from Malaysia. The other one from the Philippines. .

BOTH of them were mis-identified as Thai, BY THAIS, all the time. It got really tedious to the point where I actually got a t-shirt printed in Thai script, for the laugh.

it said "I'M NOT THAI I'M MALAYSIAN".

Rearranging deckchairs on the titanic comes to mind.

That's not possible, Titanic sunk a long time ago and I could be wrong, but the deck chairs have probably gone. :troll:

A propos the deck chairs on the TITANIC - I contracted a ship at Harland and Wolff in 1991 - the then Chairman, Dr John Parker (later chairman of British Gas) who had begun a stellar career in British industry as a naval architect at H&W (and remains the only man ever to slipway launch a semisubmersible oil rig!) remarked a propos their best known ship, which had just been found:

"Never mind that - look at the paintwork!"

I think you are getting too irate.
Everybody has differing opinions, that is why it is a public forum.
I am quite capable of deciding what I "complain about" and not copying what you or others do.
Stop trying to get people to believe everything you believe here.

Ignore him if he rattles your cage.

I made a simple observation. Nothing more and nothing less.

No. The point was that Whippy wouldn't understand what monogamy was (light hearted comment). Not your husband.

    Am I what?

What bad words am I using?

Actually, no don't reply. It's become so much of a farce it's not even funny anymore.

No. Failure on the part of admins to take any sensible action.

I don't make statements like this often or lightly.

I am frankly tired of the offensive remarks and the bickering and frankly everyone that is putting up with it should be a little bit ashamed and that includes you. It is not actually amusing.

Just ban everyone who disagrees with you - that's your issue, isn't it?

I disagree with a lot that you say but I generally support your right to say it. However, I think it's ridiculous that you have to highlight what you see as bad behaviour by actually behaving worse than who is offending you by basically seeing life different than yourself. You quickly made up your mind that you couldn't coexist with that person and everything stems from there. So you flounce in and out.

    Thanks for correcting my dumbphone.

I hope you realised that my last comment to you was a joke.

What I personally do not like is the sheer hypocrisy from some people who offend yet cannot take it themselves.
